Our Garden

DSCF3563Paper on Card.  Size A1.  NFS at the moment.

This is the latest cut-out inspired by the Matisse exhibition.  It is still based on our garden and I plan to do two more.  I have just started the third.  It is slow and sticky, but I love doing these.  It is a large size and takes a lot of time but it is different from working with paint and it is good to try something new.  Let me know what you think.

About Tazia Fawley

I started painting seriously about 10 years ago. My main interests are sea-scapes and land-scapes. I live in Somerset in the UK and have had a number of local exhibitions. I enjoy working in acrylic paint and find that it is a versatile medium and sympathetic to my way of working. I am a self-taught painter and am fascinated by colour, pattern and design.

    This is great, Taz

It’s FABULOUS, Taz!!!!!!! Love the depth, colours, everything! The fountain and gate, with the cooler colours and different shapes, both stand out yet blend in at the same time and center the whole scene. Just amazing! Can’t wait to see the others.

Thank you for saying such nice things. I’m doing two fountains in the cut-out I’m working on now and trying to be bolder. Wonder if it will work?

I love the new work – again your use of colour is exceptional. It looks very fiddly but the result must make it worth it.

Your cut-out number 2 looks very good, keep sticking!
