I thought it might be of interest to include another picture of me painting.  I spend five or six hours a day painting and I really love it.  I started this painting before Christmas and it is one of the largest that I have ever attempted.  So far, I have made eleven sea-scapes and I hope to exhibit them all in the Autumn.

I am really pleased that so many people have left such warm and encouraging comments.  It is always very good to receive them.  I like to think that my paintings cheer people up and that they are enjoyed.  Since starting painting I have made many friends who are always very encouraging.  So a big ‘thank you’  to everyone for all your lovely comments.

I want to say a special ‘thank you’ to Mr Dimitris Lampridis whose photos I have used for five of my paintings.  I think his photos are magical and I love them.  The colours are so beautiful, especially the blues and greens of the sea.  Mr Lampridis has generously said that I can use any of his photos in future and I know that I will make many more paintings from them.  If you would like to see more of his photos, click on the comment box and you will see his name.  Just click on that to see all the wonderful photos.

About Tazia Fawley

I started painting seriously about 10 years ago. My main interests are sea-scapes and land-scapes. I live in Somerset in the UK and have had a number of local exhibitions. I enjoy working in acrylic paint and find that it is a versatile medium and sympathetic to my way of working. I am a self-taught painter and am fascinated by colour, pattern and design.

  3. Hello, Taz touched by your story and I am very honored that you chose my photo to you doing your work, you can take as many you want, you got the OK from me, you’re okay and gives us your work . Dimitris ………………

  4. Dear Tazia,
New paintings that hold us still and quiet and allow us the pure pleasure of looking are a rare species.
We have known of your work for some time and have often wondered if you would ever paint on a grander scale.
Your shapes and colours have always wanted to grow and push beyond the edges of your canvas.
But it takes courage and conviction to tackle that challenge
“Red Boat”is a testament to you as an artist.
It is the absolute essence of the Greece we know.
