Lighthouse in Sydney

Lighthouse in Sydney

Acrylic on Board.  Size 60 x 40 cm.  Sold

I made this painting of the lighthouse for my brother who lives in Sydney.  My dad went out to visit him there and took this photo when he was sight-seeing.  I liked the photo very much and thought it would make a good painting.  I particularly liked the colours in the light house and thought that they were unusual.

When my brother, Tristan, came over to England the next time, he saw the painting and liked it very much.  So I gave it to him for a present.  Now it is back in Sydney with him.

About Tazia Fawley

I started painting seriously about 10 years ago. My main interests are sea-scapes and land-scapes. I live in Somerset in the UK and have had a number of local exhibitions. I enjoy working in acrylic paint and find that it is a versatile medium and sympathetic to my way of working. I am a self-taught painter and am fascinated by colour, pattern and design.
